True story-
Back in early Dec. 2021, approximately about a week after we had successfully completed and re-licensed one of our current free-standing emergency room projects in Lufkin, TX, the TX HHS Hospital Licensing inspector that inspected our project called us. He had received a phone call from a physician seeking an experienced healthcare architect in helping him re-open and re-license a free-standing emergency center facility he had recently purchased in Cypress, TX. Due to the extensive experience and knowledge BB&W Architects demonstrated in previously working with the inspector, without hesitation the inspector recommended and referred the physician to BB&W Architects.
Within a week we surveyed the facility, identified the scope of work and deficiencies requiring re-work, and addressed their programmatic and facility needs.
BB&W Architects
BB&W Architects wants to congratulate Fairfield ER in the opening of their new facility at 15103 Mason Road in Cypress, TX. The facility comprises of approximately 7,200 square feet, which houses 7 exam rooms, a central nurse station, Computerized Tomography (CT) and Radiographic X-Ray treatment rooms, bedside ultra-sound services, on-site Pharmacy and Lab areas, and other ancillary spaces. The facility is a 24/7/365 emergency center treating both adult and pediatric cases and fully licensed by the TX Department of Health and Human Services.
BB&W conducted a fully comprehensive mock inspection, testing all the existing building space requirements, mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, fire alarm, and low-voltage system as the actual HHS inspector would have conducted. This resulted in the facility passing on the 1st attempt with only 5 minor deficiencies, of which 4 were easily corrected on-site at the time of the inspection.
