This micro-hospital facility is the first of its kind in the state of Kansas. It provides concierge-based emergency care to Topeka and its surrounding communities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Services

The facility includes 6 beds for inpatient care, 8 emergency treatment rooms (including one designated for trauma cases), advanced imaging services (MRI, CT, and X-Ray), a pharmacy, laboratory facilities, food services, and associated administrative and support areas. This location provides clinical services, outpatient services, imaging and laboratory, pediatric care, and occupational medicine.

Design Approach

Refined through several iterations, this design prioritizes the integration of all service lines within a compact, efficient, and welcoming arrangement. This approach minimizes space wastage while optimizing staff productivity. Due to its success, the layout was used as a standard for multiple locations.
