In working with Dr. Henry Higgins and Family Hospital System, BB&W Architects assisted in converting this previously licensed free-standing emergency center into an acute-care specialty hospital licensed under Chap. 131 Hospital Licensing Rules. This facility fills a significant medical need in the northwest side of the San Antonio metroplex. Prior to the facility opening, the area was under-served, and the nearest hospital was approximately 7 miles away.

The facility contains (8) emergency treatment rooms, (1) OBGYN Exam Room, and (2) private med-surg rooms (of which (1) will serve as a Patient Isolation Room). Facility also includes radiology treatment rooms (Digital X-Ray, Computerized Tomography (CT) and Ultra-Sound).
