Spring Emergency Room

One of the many services BB&W Architects provides to our clients is assisting in the process of relicensing facilities when it is necessary. Our client needed to operate a new free-standing emergency center in Spring, TX which was previously licensed as a FEC but closed and the facility’s original license had expired. A new license was required to be applied for with the Texas Health and Human Services Facilities Licensing Group.

The existing 8,882 square foot facility contains 8 ER rooms, 1 ER observation room, CT and X-ray imaging areas, Pharmacy/Medication Room, Lab Space, and ancillary spaces required by TDSHS.

Services provided:

  • Facility Assessment
  • Pre-Inspection “mock walk-through” with deficiency checklist mimicking and testing all building systems as the HHS Architectural Review Unit inspector does.
  • Coordinate all required final documentation, including electrical grounding reports, testing & air balance, and selective coordination study.
